  1. Such a great and informative report on the Progress of Agriculture , Horticulture & Allied Colleges and Universites in Karnataka .

Bu the worrying factor is the Lack of proper jobs for all those who Graduate .They get Degrees but are not Industry Ready and its only those who can afford to join Good PG Institutes like IIPM, MANAGE, Vamnicon and the like that can get really good jobs-but sadly mostly in Commercial feilds and end up as Sales Executives or get senior positions. THeir Field Knowledge is almot frozen after 3 years or so.

There should be one Trimester in UG Level to devote on Upskilling students in various aspects ( Communication., Business , Technical etc).
Universities and Reserach Staiins should enourage PGs & Doctorates with good Reserach Projects & Teaching Jobs. Every University MUST have a dedicated Centre to scout for Jobs for the Graduates and PG’s . Itd spointless churning out thousands of Graduates who end up jobless…Very few can have their own Startups (Which usually quickly are only Endups) .
All the VC’s of these Universities should convene a Joint Meeting on priority and form a committee whose goal should be to ensure that not a single Graduate remains unemployed.

    Reply
    • Yes, you are correct. Government and agriculture universities focus on skill development, especially in UG programs, and we should also concentrate on this because an agriculture degree is one of the best degree programs as it provides comprehensive knowledge and helps in establishing startup businesses.

Your message highlights an important concern about the lack of proper job opportunities for agriculture graduates. It’s true that many graduates lack industry readiness, and there’s a need for upskilling students in various aspects, such as communication, business, and technical skills. Additionally, universities and research institutions should encourage PGs and Doctorates with research projects and teaching opportunities.
